Book an Educational Bus Junket in 2017

September 1, 2017 - February 1, 2018

Napa Valley BeeCo Bus Junket

A Social Species Shindig

Bee there for a real time, full on beekeeping ride with one of our progressive and overly opinionated apiarists.  Check out how and why we manage vertical, foundationless, treatment free colonies to foster strong genetics in our community.

We will start and finish at the Oxbow Public Market http://oxbowpublicmarket.com/  with hot brew for the pre game plan and a cold one later @ Fieldworks http://fieldworkbrewing.com/ for the recap. Get on the bee bus with us, roll up to one of our clients’ stunning locales, suit up and get your hands in a hive or simply observe if that is more your mode.  Everyday is different, so it’s always fluid, unstructured and you never know what we will be getting into or who we will meet along the way. You could be there to catch a swarm, see a queen emerge, harvest honey or inspect and divide hives.

By the end of your field trip, you will have bit of bee biology under your wing along with some fresh honey and most importantly, a perspective about these amazing, social insects and how we can all help them survive.

Plan to join us for a full work day and know that the bees, hive management and weather will dictate our location and timeline.

500.00 for 2 ppl maximum. Full refund if bees or weather force cancellation.

We book these field trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10ish to 3ish, weather permitting and provide everything you will need to beek out.
